Evaluation of Dhaincha Genotypes Based on Seedling Biomass Yield

To improve the fertility of soil, several green manure crops are being cultivated. Dhaincha, is an ideal crop used for improvement soil and it also reclaims problematic soils. screen out Dhaincha genotypes based on seedling biomass, a pot culture experiment was carried at Department Plant Breeding Genetics, Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College Research Institute, Tiruchirappalli, with four different namely Vellore local, Villupuram Sivagangai local Pant dhaincha. Root length, shoot fresh dry weight root & shoot, base diameter, biomass per plant were recorded ten day intervals till sixty days after sowing. All parameters showed significant variation increased steadily every highest growth than other genotypes. The yield observed in (0.029 g/plant) 10 DAS, indicating that produces more during early stages growth. At 60 high total (2.3 g/plant), followed by (1.2 (1.08 g/ plant), dhaincha (0.9 plant).
